IEDC Pipeline News for April 7, 2013

In a few short weeks, select teams from Indiana colleges will begin a competition to develop new web Apps. It's called the SmartFile Bakeoff Competition, and on Aril 18, 50 teams will be selected. The competition's sponsor is a relatively young Indiana tech company in its own right. Based in Indianapolis, Smartfile was founded in 2009 by Ben Timby and John Hurley, and today has helped share millions of electronic files in over 140 countries. The bakeoff competition not only serves as a vehicle to showcase and inspire Indiana college students, but exemplifies Smartfile's commitment to building a stronger Indiana by encouraging new business opportunities. Applications for the competition will be accepted through April 18, so if any of your college associates or interns might be interested, be sure to forward this to them.

It's a fantastic example of successful Hoosier company inspiring creative minds to begin an entrepreneurial journey, and yet another reason Indiana is a state that works for business.
