Life Bridge Christian Church is proud to announce 500 Turkeys, a mission to provide enough food and funds to feed 500 families this Thanksgiving (2010). 500 Turkeys seeks partnership with local churches, organizations and businesses in order to provide 500 full turkey meals.
Life Bridge Christian Church (www.ImagineLifeDifferently.com) is seeking local churches, organizations and businesses to partner with 500 Turkeys 2010– Gobble Up Hunger (www.500Turkeys.com) – a mission to provide enough food and funds to feed 500 families this Thanksgiving.
Each turkey meal will include an 8-10 pound turkey, 2 vegetables (corn and green beans), 1 box of instant mashed potatoes, 1 can of sweet potatoes, 1 box of stuffing, 1 can of cranberry’s, 1 box of cornbread mix and 1 box of brownie mix for dessert.
Partnership with other local churches, organizations and businesses is essential to the success of the 500 Turkeys mission. Monetary donations totaling $5,000 are needed to pay for the pre-ordered turkeys and several thousand non-perishable goods are still needed. Life Bridge invites any and all organizations and businesses who wish to be involved to contact 500 Turkeys immediately.
Drop-off deadline for food and funds is November 6, 2010, from 2 to 5pm at Life Bridge Christian Church, 1705 LaPorte Ave, Valparaiso, IN 46383. Distribution of meals will take place on November 20 and 21, 2010, times to be announced, also at Life Bridge. Meals will be distributed to various shelters, groups and individuals in need throughout Porter County and surrounding areas.

About Life Bridge Christian Church:
Seeded in prayer by Ignite Church Planting in 2003, Life Bridge Christian Church was planted in Valparaiso, IN because over 1/3 of the local population did not have a regular church. Life Bridge, or LBCC, is a unique non-denominational Christian church where worship takes place in a relaxed coffeehouse-type atmosphere with upbeat, contemporary music and down-to-earth teaching.
