The awards are presented to individuals with disabilities in recognition of outstanding achievement. Awards are also presented to outstanding volunteers, staff, and businesses for supporting individuals with disabilities. An inspirational program will be hosted by Lanie Steinwart, OE board member and chair of the Communications Department at Valparaiso University.
The clients, staff, volunteers, and businesses were nominated by OE employees and a blind vote was held by the Board of Directors to select the award recipients. Being recognized this year are the following recipients of the 2019 Celebration of Achievement awards.

This colorful family-friendly event was presented by the Family & Youth Services Bureau on Saturday morning. Sponsors purchased sidewalk space and sent out artists to create an impression of their businesses using chalk. This year, the artists were wrapped all the way around the Courthouse.
