To the Moon with Matt Keammerer, Muller Acura's New General Sales Manager

Muller Acura is famous around the Region for their array of stunning cars and customized customer-focused staff. From their state-of-the-art facility that holds spectacular events with legends such as World’s Strongest Man Brian Shaw, to consistent upgrades, Muller Acura is always looking for to step up their game. One of the team’s newest additions is their General Sales Manager, Matt Keammerer, who brings a lifetime auto industry experience and leadership along with him.

Keammerer is an industry vet, having spent essentially his entire adult life learning the ins and outs of the car business. He grew up loving cars, and never envisioned himself doing anything outside the industry.

“I’ve been in the car business since I was a kid right out of high school,” he said. “I remember being a little kid and just being mesmerized by the car business. I saw all sorts of different high-profile car dealers on TV and I’ve had the fortune to actually get to know some of them personally. I mean, what red-blooded American doesn’t grow up loving cars?”

While new to his current position, Keammerer worked with Glenn Muller in the past, and firmly believes that Muller is a one-of-a-kind manager.

“I’m just ecstatic to be back, and it’s more than just the beautiful facility,” Keammerer said. “Glenn and his dad Mike Muller are two stellar individuals that have extremely high moral character. Aside from being a blast to work here, he foments a fantastic work environment and does great things for his employees that really don’t have to be done but he does out of the goodness of his heart.”

Keammerer knows that Muller respects his team, so he sets out to return that respect through a strong performance and by maintaining very high personal expectations for himself.

“Acura holds us to extremely high expectations, as does the Muller family. You have to be a very specialized individual to be able to pull it all together, whether you’re a sales consultant or a manager,” Keammerer said. “You can’t be a bull in a china shop, and we hold ourselves to very high standards. That’s easy to do when you want to reciprocate the same respect the owner shows you.”

There is a lot Kemmerer loves about the job, from the cars to his team, but his favorite aspect has always been working with customers.

“Being able to wow a customer, and when you hear them say ‘I never thought I was going to buy an automobile today’ and they leave happy and surprised is the greatest thing,” Keammerer said. “We have a very tight market segment, we’re a bit more of an upscale, luxury brand, so when we can wow a customer and make their situation work for them, all our work is worthwhile.”

He’s excited about his role, and is eager to bring his talents to the table, but ultimately Keammerer wants to leave people with one understanding.

“Everything we do here is a team effort,” he said. “If you have a cohesive team like us, you can go to the moon.”
