This annual event celebrates volunteerism throughout Northwest Indiana by bringing together teams from local businesses, municipalities, churches and civic groups to complete projects and make significant impact on the non profit community. Held on the 3rd Friday in August, the day begins with a kickoff breakfast in each county then teams head out to the agencies where they have chosen to volunteer. This event is also a remarkable team builder for employee groups and allows the volunteers to see firsthand the great work accomplished by our non profits in Northwest Indiana.http://www.unitedwaypc.org/day-caring
